On June 9, the leader of the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Binh province said that they will follow the direction of the Standing Provincial Party Committee, plan No. 1047/KH-UBND dated May 31, 2023, of the Provincial People's Committee on Planning plan to organize the Conference on Announcement of Quang Binh Provincial Planning and Investment Promotion in 2023.

Accordingly, the conference on the announcement of the Quang Binh provincial planning and investment promotion in 2023 will take place on June 25, 2023, at the ICC International Convention Center, 11 Le Hong Phong, in Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi.

It has capable of receiving general cargo ships, containers, liquid/gas cargo up to 50,000 tons; bulk cargo ships of up to 70,000 - 100,000 tons or larger when eligible, and international passenger ships of 225,000 GT.

Mui Doc port area (belonging to Hon La Economic Zone) is planned to be a specialized wharf that is capable of receiving ships with a tonnage of 100,000 tons and liquid/gas cargoes of up to 150,000 tons.

By 2025, cargo capacity through Hon La port will reach about 10.58 million tons per year. By 2030, it will reach about 18.08 million tons per year.

Located on the East-West economic corridor, Quang Binh has Cha Lo International Border Gate which is the shortest trade route with Laos, Northeast Thailand and Myanmar.

With the available potential, Quang Binh has a long coastline with many beautiful beaches which still retains many wild features such as Da Nhay, Nhat Le, Quang Phu, Bao Ninh, Hai Ninh, Ngu Thuy, Quang Tho, etc. Technical infrastructure and facilities providing tourism services have been basically completed and increasingly upgraded with 531 tourist accommodation establishments including 8,475 rooms, 3,000 restaurants, and tourist service providers; many 4-star resorts and hotels are being completed, etc.
